I just wrapped a 16-hour day when a close friend asked if I was free tomorrow, “For a little last minute shoot.” I seriously low key love those.

On the call she kept saying “LG wants it this way.” Confused I asked “LG, the phone company? Launching… makeup?” I was running on fumes and was completely lost, “No dude. Lady Gaga!”

Next morning, we pull up to an undisclosed location. I hug my homie, a quick catch-up, and then Gaga walked in wearing a robe and the whole room shifted.

“You must be Dwyer.”

“Why, yes,” I said, somehow without my voice cracking.

“Here’s the deal.” She points. “I’m wearing that dress. One of one, made by Versace. Pick anywhere on the property. We need three videos. Tell me how much time you need and let’s go.”

Terrifying and electric at the same time, we shot all three in about an hour. Calling her a professional undersells it. She’s a legend, and I’m honored I got to light and film her.
