Dark Bardo "After Midnight Cowboy"

Truth is, nobody approached me for this one. I forced my way in.

The first time I heard the rough mix, the visuals wouldn’t leave my head. They already had a director duo lined up, fresh off an Oscar win. So chances were not in my favor, easy to say, lol. A scheduling conflict cracked the door open for me, and I pitched something that had no business happening.

The idea: they lose a horse, and it runs wild through the city. The city being Los Angeles. If you’ve ever tried to leash a dog at the park, you know the dance. You get within a foot and it bolts. Stops. Waits. Bolts again. It is one of those things in life that will always make me laugh. I wanted that, with a horse, downtown.

The horse had a Hollywood appetite and we had an indie wallet. So we swapped it for something a little more portable.
