Bridge — Short Film

What if a house tilted every time a drawbridge rose?

That was the idea behind Bridge, a short I made with my very talented friend Callie Peck, which premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival. Neither of us had ever built a rotating set. So we built a full studio apartment inside a mechanic’s garage and turned the whole thing on block and tackle, like a giant washing machine.

As the bridge went up, the room shifted, and so did the story. When the room settled, so did everything else. We pulled it off with a crew of family and friends, and I wouldn’t have done it any other way.
